Hey Bill:

About a year ago I tried to plant a church in the old meathods of planting. I thought I needed 100 people and a 100 thousand dollars to plant in our consumer driven nation. I thought it would be the only way…and before we launched it would take even more money to advertise the new church.

What i did not understand at the time is that if that church would had actually worked that I would had of attracted exactly what I was not intending to build. I did not want to plant a church filled with consumers.

My plan was to transform the city by seeing the Glory of God reveled in humanity…and that was not going to happen within the context of a church as I have ever seen…

What I know now is that i can launch movements that dont need pastors…money…or even Sunday morning worship experiences…

We are able to launch redemptive communities or churches without spending a single dime on anything…all we have to do is build the church with people who are disciple makers…not just disciples…but disciple makers…

Great article and thanks
