You bring up some very challenging ideas about follow-up. A difficulty we have experienced is the unwillingness of people (visitors and long time attenders) to fill out information cards. We have tried “forcing” the situation by walking people through the card during the service. We typically receive information from less than 1/2 of the long term attenders and an unknown percentage of visitors. We have also tried to entice visitors to stop by a welcome table for a small gift or a free coupon to a local ice cream establishment. That has proved not to be very popular either.

Any other suggestions?
