I just wanted to put a plug in for the radio show – it is really informative and extremely helpful to those of us who have small “stuck” churches and think that there is no way we can change worship or add another worship service.

I am often reminded that the first murder in the Bible revolved around what was and was not acceptable worship. You are a brave man to tackle this. I must say however that after more than close to two decades of trying to bring about a change from traditional to contemporary first as a pastor and then as a consultant to churches I have grown weary over what I see is happening in the church today with respect to worship. It seems that many are too worried about performing rather than leading the congregation in worship. I have been to many of the “hip” contemporary churches and watch the congregation simply observing the “show” on the stage. Too many churches have bred spectators to worship rather than participants in worship. That trouble transcends the debate between traditional and contemporary. I fear that the result will be a weaker church in the long run.

At any rate some good thoughts in your blog.
